Powdered ecstasy is known as "King Kong" in Taiwan. Authorities are warning the public about a new type of ecstasy, said to resemble Chinese plum powder, which is cheaper and stronger than ketamine, with which the drug is sometimes combined. The drug has altready been s[otted in Taiwan, said Niyom Termsrisuk, deputy secretary-general of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB). He was responding to reports circulating in social media of the new form of methylenedioxymethamphetamine or MDMA, known on the street as ecstasy. "The narcotic, like powdered plum mentioned in posts, is called 'King Kong' in Taiwan," said Mr Niyom.
